JBL SB 300 Soundbar and 150-Watt Subwoofer
Many home theater installations require five loudspeakers, a subwoofer and miles of speaker wire. The JBL SB 300 greatly simplifies that equation. Its a complete home theater sound system comprised of only a single amplified soundbar and a wireless powered subwoofer. Just connect the soundbar directly to your television, DVD player or game console, and plug the subwoofer into any convenient power outlet. Youll enjoy rich, full-spectrum 2.1 - channel output that dramatically improves the sound of any TV monitor. Or you can select 3-D surround processing to create a realistic 360-degree soundstage electronically. Either way, the SB 300 delivers true JBL performance with the absolute minimum number of components – and all without a speaker wire in sight.
With so many on offer these days, it is great to have a name you can trust. This item is certainly that and will be a perfect buy. The distributor have added some great touches and this equals great value.

One of the best in this category for the price
JBL has done a really nice job with this soundbar home theater solution. The styling is very nice on the soundbar itself, although the subwoofer is not quite as pretty, but it's wireless and you can hide it behind a plant if you don't like the looks. A couple of things impressed me. First, it really sounded good. Very balanced sound with completely flat tone control adjustments on the TV. I also like the fact that the subwoofer has an adjustable crossover, so if I want to boost the bass control on my TV, and can control how muddy the bass sounds by dialing down the crossover frequency to tighten it up and make it more musical. Most of the other soundbars I have auditioned are all preset with limited or no adjustability. The sub also has a sub level control on the sub itself. It would be nice to have that on the credit card sized remote, but with these type systems, you are probably gonna have it close to maximum output anyway in a good sized room. The fact that there are 2 inputs, one...

Just wow.
I purchased this thing at a local retail store and you'll need to hear it to believe this thing. By comparison, this soundbar is one of the best available on the market at a great price. It can be turned up louder than you'll ever need the soundbar to be going and you'll be impressed with this purchase. There is no noticeable distortion that I could hear of when turned all the way up. The only downside to this JBL is the fact that you don't get the actual physical surround sound itself. Simulated surround sound will never sound good as a good old 5.1 system but it's just not fair to be comparing the two.

The bass of that is including with this thing is wireless and packs quite a punch when compare it with the PolkAudio IHT3000, IHT4000, or IHT6000. Some say the sound is comparable to a Bose Cinemate II but I think the JBLs sound better. That Bose bass is just not enough for myself.

This thing has the slickest look of any soundbar out there. I just wish it were a...
Luke, I am your father.
I'll start with what I don't like... the subwoofer looks like Darth Vader's helmet. And I can't put a plant on top of it because it's not flat.

That is the only thing I don't like.

But wow, the sound. Full, excellent range with no distortion at full volume. Not that anyone would want it at full volume, unless you've truly got a theatre. The surround sound is really superior for a soundbar. There is definitely a sense of sound moving from one place to another. True, it would be better if you had speakers mounted all over the room and made it truly surround, but this is plenty good. Probably the reason it works so well is the length of the soundbar: 46 inches. Very long and thin. Like a light-saber.

Did I mention the sound? Wow. Really excellent.

I like the pairing on these. My other sound system has channels that you have to switch to match the soundbar to the wireless sub, but with this system you just press the "pairing" buttons...
