Perfect for my Surround Speakers in a Difficult Room Shape
I had just ordered the Onkyo HT-S5400 7.1 Home Theater package. My previous setup was a little mis-matched 5.1 with the speakers mounted to the wall all the way around.
However, before purchasing my upgrade, I did some research into speaker placement because I did not like how the sound was muddied and muffled a bit, coming from the 5.1 setup. It turns out speaker placement and direction are critical for a proper home theater soundstage.
Our living room is wide open with a ceiling that goes from 10ft to 15ft. A general rule is to not have your surround speakers more than 3ft difference in distance between them and the central listening point. In other words, if your left surround is 10 ft from the point, the right surround should be between 7 and 13 ft.
Anyway, these stands allowed me to position my speakers at the optimum location.
They shipped fast and had a great price. They are all metal and quite sturdy. The only thing they don't tell...
