The Micca M-Series of in-wall and in-ceiling speakers have been designed for optimal performance in a wide variety of home entertainment applications, from providing relaxed background music, to a high impact 7-channel home theater system.
Dynamic and Balanced
The M-8C is a 2-way in-ceiling/wall speaker with a high excursion 8" poly woofer and a 1" soft dome tweeter in co-axial arrangement. This combination provides great flexibility in terms of application and suitability to different music tastes. In addition to smooth and natural vocals, the 8" woofer is capable of robust bass output, allowing the M-8C to be used without a subwoofer in many installations. When a subwoofer is present, the extended bass capability of the M-8C ensures seamless integration at frequencies that smaller woofers simply can't reach.
Imaging and Clarity
The 1" soft dome tweeter provides abundant detail and clarity, generating solid and focused imaging for all sound sources in a spacious sound stage. Designed for a broadened listening sweet spot, the tweeter employs a diffuser to assist off-axis response as well as a pivoting mechanism to achieve proper aiming. Perfect integration between the tweeter and woofer is achieved through a 12dB crossover network with a compensation network. Once installed and setup, the M-8C projects a realistic sound stage with excellent resolution.

Fantastic
Bought 4 of these speakers a couple of weeks ago. Installation was a breeze. My expectations were not very high for such cheap speakers but after I got them setup, I could not be more pleased! They have plenty of power (all 4 are downstairs in various rooms covering roughly 1400 sqft and it sounds awesome) and are very pleasing to the eye - you really have to be staring at your ceiling to see them. I have absolutely no complaints!

Worth every penny!
Speakers arrived on time; very well packaged. I (like others) was slightly skeptical with the low price, but ordered them based on other reviews. No complaints whatsoever. They sound fantastic --- sharp and clear lows/mids/highs. I'll be using them mainly for background music, but I have no doubt they could blow the windows out of the house without distorting. For reference, I have BOSE "virtually invisible" speakers in my home theater, and they sound exceptional -- but NOT BY THEMSELVES -- they require a separate subwoofer. These speakers (having 8" woofers) are FINE by themselves. If you want (in-ceiling) music in your family room, kitchen, whatever, don't hesitate to buy these; you'll be happy!
Installation Details Revealed
I'll get right to some installation details that I didn't know until I unpackaged them:
INSTALLATION: To my surprise (disclaimer: these are my first in-wall speakers), these speakers install just like an "old work" electrical box. That is, they have screws accessed from the front that have plastic flaps on the far end that tighten around already-installed drywall/plaster/plywood/other. This actually makes installation extremely easy, assuming you can access your speaker wire through your new ceiling hole. The reason I'm mentioning this, though, is it actually makes my life slightly more difficult, as I was planning to install these in an as-of-yet unfinished attic room (no ceiling, just joists) so I can listen to my Death Metal through my whole-house-audio system without moving speakers attached to terminals around as I work.
FYI, per the manual, the cutout hole needed is 9-3/8" diameter, the outer diameter of the speaker frame is 10-3/4", and the mounting...
