Good home theater in the box
At probably the higher end price point of a home theater in the box, this system fits the bill. This is what you get in the giant box it ships in:
Yamaha model YST-SW216 10" side port sub

Cheap low gauge speaker wire
I decided to go with this system, because it was cheaper, than buying a receiver separately, then adding speakers by a good chunk of change. Overall, Yamaha put a good package together. This is a large system, so two people are needed to move it into your home. In my case, I took it in piece by piece to the living room. As far unpacking it, that is easy enough. Everything seemed to be well packed and there was no damage. The components feel like Yamaha's living up to their reputation of good quality.

Better then Bose
Pros:
-Awesome Quality.
-Super loud and clear.
-Easy to set-up.

-Incredible bass.
Cons:
-Cheap, thin speaker wire.
This product is levels above the Bose? Lifestyle? T20 home theater system--Black That I purchased from Best buy prior to buying this. Was not impressed with the Bose for the money. This Yamaha system sounds better, gets louder than the Bose. Highly recommend!!

With a new Panasonic VIERA TC-P60ST30 60-Inch 1080p 600 Hz 3D Plasma HDTV I wanted a new sound system to go with it. You need it, really, or you have a beautiful picture with poor sound. I did a bunch of homework and ended up with this system. I picked it over the Yamaha YHT-595BL Complete 5.1-Channel Home Theater System mostly because of the larger front speakers.
Setting it up is easy enough except, of course, for routing the wires to the surround sound. (I found that I needed more than the 100 ft of speaker wire provided.) Calibrating is blissfully easy. Just plug in the provided mic and step through the on-screen selections (on the attached HDTV screen). It makes all of the required adjustments for the obstructions and whatnot around the speaker placements.
