I am using these as my main front speakers, with a new Pioneer 1019 receiver. The sound and build quality are excellent -- especially for the money. The only reason I give them a 4 on sound is because you will definitely need a sub to fill in the bass. Maybe they were designed with that thought already in mind, and I do have a sub, but it's just my 2 cents. If you have a sub, or plan to buy one, these speakers are a great choice. BTW, the 400's are worth the extra $200 if you can afford it -- they have a fuller sound. I initially bought the 300's and took them home, but swapped them for the 400's.

TSI400
I just bought these TSI400's and a cs10 center channel speaker. I hooked everything up to the new Onkyo 607 receiver. The 400's sound absolutely amazing. I bi-amped them to maximize the power, so they have 180 watts RMS. They reach loud volumes with still sounding amazing. The bass is tight and punchy. If you are into bass, you will need to get a PWS. Don't get me wrong, the bass on these speakers is great, but you really need to get the sub to complete the sound. The clarity of the sound that comes from these speakers is why I rated them so high. Would definately recommend for your floor standing speakers.
These are great speakers that won't break the bank to own.
One last thing... I have heard that if you get the TSI500's you may not even need a PSW. For only $200 more for the pair it might be something to consider.
Great looking and even better sounding.
I listened to these side by side versus a set of Klipsch in a local big box store. The Klipsch were actually more in price but I thought the horn tweeters sounded too harsh. The polk sounded crystal clear and were easy to listen to. They had the TSI300's and TSI400's side by side. The 400's sounded "fuller" with the extra speaker. The great part was that the 400's were on sale and were actually cheaper then the 300's. There was no way I was going to miss out on this deal. I also have the CS10 for the center speaker. Sill deciding on either the 100's or 200's for the surrounds. Overall very happy.
