the best Sony yet
The Sony SA-NS410 is an impressive sounding AirPlay speaker with good looks and a small footprint that allows for easy placement. I've used other Sony wireless speakers and due to the size, sound quality, and features of the NS410, it is the best.

SETUP

The SA-NS410 is very easy to setup. Using the "WPS" sync button on the device, I had it synced with my secure wireless network in less than a minute. It was a simple matter of pressing the "WPS" button on my wifi hotspot (most have them nowadays) and then pressing the "WPS" button on the speaker. The rest is automatic. Very good sound, needs extra apps for Android
One of the features that sparked my interest in this product was "listen to your music with Android". What that meant was that your phone operate as a remote for the speaker. The recommended Sony app was mostly functional but prone to disconnects and thus frustrating to use. A far better app, Skifta, actually allows for Android devices to be recognized as DLNA devices and thus play music directly to the speaker, as well as performing the other remote control features.
With the upgraded functionality afforded by the Skifta app, this speaker is a great option for those who want something that isn't just limited to Airplay. The sound quality is very good for its size. The bottom end does taper off, with what seems to be a bit of boominess to compensate for lack of low bass, and there is a definite tweak in the high registers as well. Truly incredible speaker!!!
It took me less than ten minutes to set this up on my WiFi to control on all of my Apple devices (IPhones, IPad, and Mac). The sound is unbelievable. I have had this playing for an hour and have decided that I'm saving up for another for up stairs!
