For the money - it's a winner
Our last home theater system lasted for 8 years and finally died recently. I went out and tried to find a home theater system that had at least 4 HDMI switching inputs and had the speakers as well. There are a huge number of systems on the market and the reviews, as is usually the case, are highly subjective.
We are not audiphiles and the predominant use for our system will be watching TV on a DVR or through an Apple TV and playing games/watching Blu Rays on a PS3. For these purposes the system is absolutely ideal.
Set-up is quick and trouble free with all necessary cables and leads for speakers etc.
The speakers are adequate for the needs of home listening and have a very good range. Speech is clear and crisp and I would say that the speakers are better at high range and a little softer on mid range.
The Sub Woofer produces good solid Bass but does tend to distort at high volumes. That said, the distortion occurs at volumes that are not...

EXTREMELY Satisfied
I bought this product to replace an older system I had that would not work well with Blu-Ray Discs (no HDMI inputs/outputs). I did a lot of research and read many reviews on home theatre systems and determined this Pioneer system would give me the biggest bang for my buck (being on a budget). AM I GLAD I DID!!! This is a tremendous system and the sound quality is absolutely exceptional!
