I purchased a set of these speakers about a year ago to supplement my Cambridge Soundworks Movie Works surround speakers. I moved my old front speakers to the 7.1 top fronts and used the Infinity Primus as my new fronts. So far, I have been very impressed. The quality of sound has been superb. Since these are part of my existing system, I've already got a nice powered sub that takes care of the lows but these seem to do a great job through the whole octave range.
I purchased the 6-1/2" but be aware that they are large and heavy and will take up a lot of real estate for front speakers - especially if you're used to satellite style speakers. They look very nice though - the front covers are nicely styled and the speakers really look nice with or without the screens.
Compared to other fronts I've owned:
* Bose 201's - Primus sound is superior in my opinion (muuch better range). Size and style of the Bose slightly superior.

Infinity Primus bookshelf speakers
I bought a pair of the Primus 2 way 6 1/2" bookshelves to augment a previous generation Primus tower pair. They sound fantastic. Match up great with the other Primus speakers in the room. Quality construction. Very heavy for its size. I bought them as surround speakers, but for a small stereo setup they'd be fine as stand alones.
Great Value for the price
These speakers sound great for their price range. They are not high end speakers but then again they don't cost what high end speakers do. I use these for the front speakers of my 7.1 surround sound setup. They do quite well. They are not overly tinny with highs and do have good frequency response overall. I would use them for general purpose stereo speakers as well, as long as the application didn't require a lot of volume in a large room. Other than that, I highly recommend them. The price on Amazon was vastly cheaper than on a lot of other sites at the time of my purchase, about $85 VS $130. Great speakers.
