Your only choice for a 11.2 DSX Audyessy XT32 reciever.
It's pretty simple. If you want Audyessy MultiEQ XT32 and their 11.2 DSX, this is the only thing on the planet that has it.
Fortunatly, it's a very high-quality device, made in Japan. Denon's lower end models are made in China. There is a difference.
Besides the big Audyessy features, there are some other nice things about this beast. The amplifier section is very high quality. A recent bench test found it puts out over 170w per channel in stereo and 120w with 5 channels driven. In comparison, the Onkyo 5008, a bigger, heavier reciever and probably the 4311's most direct competitor only put out 80w per channel with 5 channels driven in the same test. So if you need some power, this thing probably has enough. If it doesn't, though, it has preouts for all 13 channels AND Zones 2 & 3. That's 17 preamp outputs people! 17! Buy now! Don't wait!
Another nice thing is the Web interface and the on-screen GUI. These features let you hide this away in a closet or...

Great Sound, poor user interface
History, I was using an old Kenwood for the last 15 years, Dolby pro Logic, it was running with 120 watts per channel. I know wattage isn't everything, but for us non audio experts its a good point of reference. I will do my best to be short, there is a lot to say about a system like this.

The is a wonderful sounding system and is certainly over kill for almost everyone, and if not, your probably hooking up external amps to it and making it over kill. It has more wattage then what I can use, on the volume scale -80 to +18, I'm running -50 to about -30 most of the time. The system is probably meant for much larger rooms then what I have it installed in, 16x20, but even in this room size it sounds fantastic, partly do to the Audyessy System I would think.

I currently have it set up for 9.1, I had most of the speakers on hand from the Kenwood 5.1 system, and oddly enough the speakers sound better then they ever did on the old Kenwood. The old speakers don't...
Excellent Replacement for a Rotel
The Denon replaced a Rotel RSX-1067. I was a bit cautious in this decision as I have been fairly loyal to the Rotel brand. However, given the features, capabilities and, power of the Denon I decided to tryout the AVR. Needless to say this receiver has definitely proven itself more that worthy upgrade in the last three weeks since installation.
'Audyssey MultEQ is a an outstanding audio room setup feature...
Anyone considering an upgrade this receiver should be on the short list for consideration.

Good option to replace home theater system
If you are looking to reduce the size of your home theater system the ZVOX sound bar represents a good option. We dumped our CD changer (ripping all the CDs to iTunes), receiver, and speakers. All this was replaced with a sleek sound bar and an iPod! Sound reproduction is quite good.
The only complaint I have for this system has to do with the remote. As the sound bar is incorporated into home theater systems, it would be optimal to have access to the remote codes so that other remotes (e.g. TV, satellite) could be programmed to control the ZVOX. These codes are not provided with the unit, and ZVOX customer/technical service is completely unresponsive to requests for the codes.

Seemed Perfect At First But Design Quirks Make It Not Right For Me
Reviewing sound bars is especially difficult. Each person has his own preferences and expectations for audio quality and included features. What sounds great and meets the expectations of one person may be just the opposite for someone else. I initially wrote a glowing review of this ZVOX sound bar after listening to it for a few hours. It does indeed produce very good audio, however, after getting all of my components fully integrated with the sound bar and then attempting to adjust the sound to my liking, a couple of deliberate decisions in the design of the 430HSD have made me much less pleased with it. First of all, although the ZVOX430HSD includes two digital audio connections (1 optical and 1 coaxial) only one of those digital connections can be used. For example, I initially connected my Blu-ray player to the coaxial input and my DVR to the optical. I was not getting any sound from the DVR. A call to the nice folks at ZVOX confirmed that the two digital inputs are wired...
Excellent Sound Bar
This sound bar replaced a high quality 5 speaker system with subwoofer. We moved and the new room setup would not easily accommodate the prior system. This is not the prettiest sound bar out there - it is a bit boxy and large. Get past the look and you will have a wonderful sound experience. Very versatile and easy to control with a simple remote. The back of the remote would not stay on (battery compartment cover), but a little tape fixed that problem. Even if we moved and again had a large room, I doubt we would go back to a 5 speaker system. It is a bit pricey, but well worth the cost. Glad it has a connector for the iPhone/iPod as well.

Would I buy them again? Yes
If budget friendly is important, this is the way to go. Much better than typical surround sound paper cone speakers. Do not drive them with more than a 25 watt amp. 80 watt peak is dead on the money.

Excellent Speakers
I have these hooked up as my surround speakers on my Sony 7.2 channel receiver Sony STRDN1030 Wi-Fi Network A/V Receiver. I have 23 year old Bose Acoustimass AM-5's for the front speakers, the center speaker is a new BIC America FH6-LCR Dual 6.5-Inch 175-Watt LCR Speaker with Mid/High Frequency Horn, and the sub-woofer is a BIC America F12 12-Inch 475-Watt Front Firing Powered Subwoofer.

I had originally bought some Sony speakers for center and surround speakers (Sony SS-CR3000 Center and Rear Channel Speaker Package), but I was not happy with them and ended up returning them. Excellent product, great value!
I purchased my RX-V773 locally at a substantial discount ($200 off list price). The place I bought it from offers their own 30-day in-store return policy, although I would not hesitate to purchase from Amazon.

I would rate this unit 4 1/2 stars if I could. It's a very versatile receiver--2 of the 7 amplifier channels that can be assigned for something like a second zone (stereo only, obviously). The 5 HDMI inputs and dual oututs are a nice feature at this price point. I upgraded to this unit from an older model Marantz that did not have any HDMI inputs.

I had no problem with the Wi-Fi setup on my receiver. I followed the instructions using the push-button on the adapter and router. On the second try, it connected and has not dropped connection since. I enjoy the network features a lot. The receiver found my network hard drive (Twonky server). I was able to use my computer to quickly create some playlists and then play them flawlessly with the receiver...

FM tuner dead on arrival, but great receiver
I received my receiver about 6 weeks ago but I had to take it to an authorized repair shop in town (fortunately I'm not too far from one) because the FM receiver funtions are not working- no channels, no speakers recognized. I would have returned it to Amazon but I missed the 30 day return window by a day. I did have a chance to check out the web-based FM stations and I am pleased with the user interface for those stations- easy enough to navigate. The feature set on this product is excellent, and I will enjoy it very much as soon as I can get it back out of repairs. Combined with some of the other comments, I do wonder if the factory quality control is what it should be. More to come once I can check it out further.

Update- I got the receiver back and FM now works fine. But because the number of online FM stations via the net radio app is so large I haven't been listening to the local FM stations, and I also have enjoyed some of the TV audio streams (eg Frontline)...
Overall Very Nice
Overall I am very impressed with this receiver. One issue I would caution people is that I have a 20ft connection to my TV on HDMI 1 (ARC Primary - Samsung 55 LED), which works fine as it's cabled with the latest 1.4a HDMI standard cables and connectors. Over the weekend I tried to connect a second TV (Sony 44 LCD) to HDMI 2 and use Party Mode. All I would get is an occasional flicker of both screens. If I turned off one of the screens the other would perform as expected. My assumption that it didn't work was my long run of cable for HMDI 1. I'm assuming that both outputs have a common AMP which doesn't have enough power to feed both outputs successfully. So a word of caution to those who are buying this with the intent to actively drive 2 screens. There seems to be quite a bit of aftermarket HDMI Splitters and Amps on the market but I still am a bit disapointed this unit couldn't run 2 TVs at 25ft of total cable run!

Least expensive unit with Audyssey MultiEQ room correction
I've been listening to a great podcast about audio and video technologies and found that this was the least expensive of the Denon models that offered the Audyssey MultiEQ room equalization technology. I don't have a large room for my home theater. Actually it's a little out of the ordinary in that I have the orientation in a non-ideal setup. I wasn't sure how this room equalization technology would work in my setup and I wasn't sure that I would get incredible sound from a unit this inexpensive but I decided to try it anyway. I had a Yamaha receiver previously that had a proprietary calibration setting with a microphone for automatic setup. My experience with that wasn't very good. Assuming that I read the instructions correctly, which I believe I did, the result ended up turning off my sub completely. I got it tweaked fairly well after playing with it for awhile but, needless to say, I was a little skeptical about the Audyssey setup because of this experience. The reason I decided...

Does everything I expected
I bought the Denon AVR-591 to simplify my home-theatre setup and so far it's working perfectly. The Quick Select buttons also power-on the unit and so my preschool kids are able to press just one button ('Quick Select 1') and get the TV to work. I was also able to reprogram our Logitech Harmony universal remote so that it sends fewer commands.

I also appreciate the analog-to-digital video conversion (the kid's composite-video Click Start game is converted to HDMI) as it allows me to leave the TV on one input and never need to change it; this also makes the system simpler and more predictable.

The Denon configuration menus are relatively easy to use though I do have to keep the manual around to help me find some of the 'advanced' settings. You are required to run their Audessey speaker-test before you can adjust a lot of things, e.g. speaker levels (the center speaker needs to be louder), or 'Night Mode' volume compression.

The one problem I've had...
Not perfect, but a good entry-level 3D platform
Talk about a modern feature set. Whether or not firmware will upgrade HDMI 1.3 or not on your existing system, choosing a system with an HDMI 1.4 repeater for all inputs is a good idea and this unit certainly has the skill to do so. Let's jump right into the pros and cons of the unit because it certainly isn't perfect. As a long-time user of Pioneer/Sony ES/Denon receivers, I think Denon's done a fair number of things pretty well.

Pros:
- HDMI on-screen Audyssey eq and assignment functions. This helps a lot because the small screen on the unit won't suffice. Using the same technology as the Alpine imprint system (which works great in the car), you can tune to your environment. Not unique, but well done all the same
- HDMI repeater for all inputs. This is a pro and con, read more to find out why.
- HDMI 1.4 for future 3D capability. Plan for that future 3D screen (Especially good if you already own a PS3)

Excellent for those on a budget or in an apartment...
I bought this unit to pair with my Panasonic TC-P42S2 42-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV, and am generally pleased. I live in an apartment, so a unit with a booming external subwoofer or a complete home theater setup would not be very neighborly of me. The sound is a great improvement over the TV's stock speakers--there is more than enough bass for me, especially when playing films like The Dark Knight on Blu-Ray--the sound was surprisingly good. The sound from the TV's stock speakers seemed to go down and a bit behind the TV; the sound bar sends sound forward (which allows me to lower the volume). The sound is not surround. I also found that playing with the settings helps a lot. For example, the Dolby virtual effect sounds great when watching Blu-Ray movies, but sometimes doesn't sound so good when watching sports--depending on the quality of the audio feed, announcers may sound a little tinny. One cable setup, works flawlessly
I bought this to compensate for the less-than-stellar sounding speakers on my new Panasonic TC-P42GT25 42-Inch 1080p Full HD 3D/2D THX Certified Plasma Television, Black. The Panasonic Viera link technology really works well with the right components.

In addition to the power cable, I've only connected one HDMI cable via the TV's ARC HDMI port, and the unit's ARC HDMI port. That's it. Whatever sound came from the TV is now routed through the soundbar. My cable box, Blu-Ray player, and Wii system all play through the soundbar, with just the one HDMI connection.

Setup took all of 3 minutes, and the sound runs rings around the internal TV speakers. It's nowhere near a full HT surround setup, but at least now I do get to hear the low frequencies and can boost the volume without distortion. It provides a much more pleasant sound environment which is perfect for my somewhat smallish...
Average sound, excellent integration with Panasonic TV
I was happy with my new Plasma TV (Panasonic VIERA TC-P46G25 46-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV) but found the sound from the built-in speakers was not as good as I wanted. I didn't want to have to use the "big" home theater receiver just to watch TV, just something simple. I tried the VIZIO VSB200 Universal HD Sound Bar but it was not compatible with the TV.

This Panasonic sound bar has ok sound. Much better than the built-in, but it's no substitute for a full-powered home theater system. The best feature of this soundbar is it's ability to use the Panasonic Viera Link and HDMI/ARC features. When you use an HDMI cable to connect the two, the soundbar works perfectly with the TV...no need for another remote to control power or volume, and the TV shows the volume setting and changes on screen.

Great Center Channel Speaker!
Don't be fooled by the price of this center channel speaker. I don't know how they offer this kind of sound quality and sheer power for this price. It is a mystery to me why most speaker companies use such small drivers in the center channel of their speaker lines. I consider myself an audiophile,but anyone with a 5.1 home theater system knows that between 70 and 95% of a movies sound is channeled through the center channel; that's most of your movie! Why speaker companies skemp in this area in quality or size of drivers is beyond me. The exception to this small LCR model may be Paradigme,Def.Tech, and in some instances, Klipch and Martin Logan. These companies utilize either powered centers (built in amps.), larger bass drivers in the center or a wide array of mid woofers. You have to understand that there are frequencies and nuances of midbass that the Pre-Amp./Receiver will only send to the center speaker. Outstanding Center Channel
OK - I first bought the other Bic DV-62CLRS center channel - then the Bic DV-64 tower speakers - and kept on looking at this FH6-LCR center - but there weren't any reviews - so I just sat on the fence until the first glowing review from Marc Jordan showed up - then I pounced and bought this guy.

What a correct decision that was - don't get me wrong - the DV-62CLRS is an extremely capable center - but this FH6-LCR center is simply outstanding. You can hear very soft whispers in the dialog without driving your system at insane levels (even our neighbors complemented us on the changes).

I ordered another DV-62CLRS and will use them as the side speakers. I am tempted to order two more FH6-LCR's as replacements for my Mission rear speakers because of the 'amplified' characteristics of this speaker. (Have to let the dear wife get used to the changes first-eh).

Unreal for the price
Just installed 2 Yamaha in-wall 960 speakers and realized that my outdated Infinity center channel was no longer a good match. The Yamahas have dual 6.5s so I needed to step up from the 4-inch drivers on the Infinity and started searching. I found that most LCRs in the sub-$300 range had anything from 3.5-inch to 5.25-inch woofers; I had recently added a BIC sub to my system so I checked their website and saw the FH6 that sports dual 6.5s as well as the horn tweeter, which would be a nice match with my Yammys. Unfortunately, I didn't want to spend the $329 price tag so I checked Amazon and found a listing for $107. Are you kidding me?!? Took me all of 2 seconds to order one.

For the price this can't be beat
I don't often take the time out to write reviews, but I really felt like I needed to with this product. If you are on the fence about buying this, hopefully this will help you decide. First off, I was looking for a reciever with an iPod dock that wasnt too expensive because it is stored outside, in the pool area. I figured if it wasn't too expensive, I wouldnt care all that much if it got damaged by the water. i really figured for the price, I was gonna get a low grade, crappy sounding system. I couldnt be more wrong. Here is my thoughts:

the system is LOUD.. AND CLEAR. My wife (who is not at all into audio stuff) commented on how good it sounded out there. Not very good quality
When at low volumes, this amp is noisy(little chirps and blips can be heard). The knobs feel cheap, and the display looks cheap. On the plus side, I was easily able to stream audio from my ipad via the bluetooth connection. This amp only has banana clip(or bare wire) outputs, so you won't be able to connect PA speakers that only have speakon or 1/4-inch inputs.
I returned it, then bought the Pyle PDG2000 amp, and I'm happy with it.

Great Speakers!
At $30 a pop its really hard to go wrong here. They are heavy duty, each weighs 5-6lbs as described. I don't have a receiver yet but hooked it up to an old stereo and cranked it. You aren't going to get much base with this system. I guess that's why you need a sub-woofer. I'm looking into the Polk 12" woofer now and Denon 7.1 receiver. I still need 3 more and looking to buy another set. As long as you have a good set up with solid signal and good cables you can't pass up these speakers. I gave it 5 stars because I am not a big audiofile, so i can't say if these are better than other speakers out there. I'm sure there are better speakers on the market, just not at this price. But again, the sound is good, just no bass. I will mention i used 14 gauge RCA brand wire with gang plate and banana connectors for easy connections. The speakers were packed very well and look great on my walls :)

I first bought one just to test it. I was really impressed with the sound, they gave out a nice FULL range sound, and crisp highs. i went ahead and bought the 2nd, and rears speakers. they look great on my wall. definitely a great speaker for the price!! BUT!!! the only DOWNSIDE! is that a couldnt find a center channel speaker to complete my set up. OTHER THAN THAT GREAT DEAL! VERY HAPPY...(UPdate: i stand corrected! found a center channel)

After an extensive research I decided to purchase 4- M-6S 6 1/2" two way speakers and one Micca 3 way 5 1/4 center channel. The quality and price were mayor factors in my decision. Energy Power Bar Soundbar
I listened to a whole bunch of soundbars before purchasing the Energy Power Bar Soundbar. And I am not disappointed. This soundbar is absolutely fantastic. I have had people at my house who really compliment me on my nice sounding TV.

I had the soundbar and sub-woofer working within 10 minutes out of the box. The soundbar learned to operate with both my Sharp LED HDTV and Direct TV Satellite remotes.

Easy setup, good sound.
First of all, if you want true surround sound that will fill a room with punching bass then this is not for you. This is a simple system for improving on the sound that most TV speakers provide. For us it was a way of solving a specific problem. As we have a Hitachi plasma TV that had a bad sound card and thus no sound and we were faced with an expensive repair bill (if parts could even be found) or just tossing an otherwise good TV. By connecting this soundbar to our Dish Network receiver we were able to continue to use our TV. Setup is very easy, connect the power to both the bar and the sub, connect the bar to the source (TV or cable, dish box) and your off and running. Programming the bar to our Dish Network remote was easy once I figured out that the instructions are a bit off. Instructions say to hold the status/mute buttons together for 3 seconds after which the green light would turn to an orange blinking light, then programming can commence, well, I never got an orange...

Amazing sound from this system. Great lows, mids, and highs. Does not distort under high volume. Set up was simple and the directions straight forward. Hooked the system up with optic cable and the sound is spot on to the video. The Digital Cinema also can "learn" other remote controls. I had it learn my LG tv remote, so now I have one remote for my tv and the digital cinema. I am very impressed with the sound quality and the speakers look great. Much better than a large sound bar, imho. The blue tooth feature is great too. Phone stays connected even in other rooms while I stream music.

Pretty simple and pleasing system
So far so good with this unit. Bass response is great considering the size of it. LOVE the bluetooth feature and it works as described. Deducted a star because the rest of the ranges (mid-high) are pretty muffled coming out of the 2 primary speakers.
Great System
Just purchased this system over the Sony 260 system mainly do to the size difference. The sound is great for both voice and with movies and the system was very easy to install, 30 minutes, plus extra time to program the cable remote and the blue tooth. If there is a con, it's the extra wiring you have to deal with as the sub provides the power to the speakers which are wired. The small footprint makes up for this in my opinion.

Great division of channels
I have listen to dozens of 5.1 and 7.1 home theater systems, but most of them are no more than adding a couple speakers to an old stereo. They don't have the best separation, and you can't really tell one channel from the other. Difference is, with this system I can hear the difference with every single channel of the system. Yet when you get in the middle of the room, and it feeds all at once, you have such great sound. It's truly excellent.

Just for my room
Give me music videos day and night and I am happy to go. Having this 5.1 really lets me enjoy them more and more, putting every bit of sound around the room as I listen to the video. It makes me feel like I am on stage with the band when I hear this sound. My folks keep telling me I should put the system in the family room so everyone can use it, but I say no, because then I can't wake up to my surround as great as this.
