Best wireless audio for the money
With competitors either being cheap junk, or 3 times the price - this baby is a gem. Hooked them right up - allowing me to place a much needed subwoofer behind the sofa which I could not do before. Simple installation, synched right up on their own and work flawlessly.

My only recommendation is to cover the LED's with a piece of tape, they are bright and you can see a blue glow on the wall behind the equipment they are connected to.

I'd buy them all over again in a heartbeat.

Very nice for the price
I bought a pair of these for my front L and R along with the Polk CS-10 center (I also have a Polk sub). The sound is great! Those that said that they take a little breaking in were right. I've had them for a month or so now, and have given them some moderate use. Just last night while watching a DVD I noticed just how nice they sound. I will probably buy the OW3's for my rear L and R soon.

Best Bang for the Buck - Amazing Sound Little Speakers
listened to just about every speaker in this price range and bang for the buck these things took the cake. They sound better than mayny speakers costing much more (Bose did not even come close. Bose are great for the size, but lack midbass and their subs are not great). They have very clear high to upper mid range, but they are light on the lower mid and obviously the bass, which they are not designed for. I have them as my side seakers in a 7.1 system with a Denon 1911 receiver, TSI300 Rear, CS20 center, PSW 505 sub, and the tSI 500 fronts, and it sounds amazing. A couple of my firends that spend far more are very jellous, which is always nice. At first I was disapointed, but apparently they require a break in period and after playing them for a few days fairly regularily, they came around nicely. I am very happy with my purchase decision. As I said, you can get better speakers, but you will be paying far more.

Great sound from an easy-to-install speaker
For the last 7 years, we've had the entry-level Polk satellites+sub; but the placement of the front right & left speakers wasn't optimal since I basically had to hang them from the ceiling. I finally updated my receiver to a newer unit that supports HDMI and that gave me the itch to replace my speakers as well. This brought me back to the original problem that I faced in this room of how hard it is to fit good speakers.

Fortunately for me; I came across these and they fit into my space perfectly. I was able to mount the right speaker in the corner and the left speaker was mounted on the wall - both point into the room at a 45 degree angle. The design of these couldn't be better! They fit into the room better than the small 3.25" satellites did, yet they sound much richer and fuller. Looks and works great
Attached to the bottom of the Sanus mount for 55" Vizio LCD TV. Looks very good, like it was planned for this TV (of course black TV + black speaker + black wall mount, hard to go wrong). Much better sound than built in speakers on the TV, and much less space than the tall speakers I used for my old TV.

Keep in mind that I'm running these off of a receiver/amp -- they are not for hooking straight to the TV. You need a receiver or other device to take the TV audio and convert to Left - Center - Right front channels.

Great speaker
I paired this speaker with a polk audio wireless subwoofer and a Harmon Kardon BDS reciever. It is set up as a 3.1 system in my family room. I have owned many high end speaker systems costing thousands of dollars. This speaker rivals some of the best that I have heard. The build quality is nice and solid. The gloss black finish looks as good as my Mirage speakers. The sound is clear and crisp (you will need a sub with this speaker). The sound field is nice and balanced. My total invest for speaker,sub,receiver was $750. I highly recommend this speaker. Mini Cube Speakers that compare to large models
I needed speakers similar in size as Bose AM7 that would work with my subwoofer and not have the Bose restrictios of their audio system. The MC2 mounted cleanly below the TV on the edge of the TV stand delivering a clean implementation wihout bring focus to the additional speakers. The sound and frequency response was exactly perfect for the placement and room location. The only problem is that the mounting bracket does not tighten to my likeing. Be careful to not overtighten the bracket screws as instructed. I highly recommend these speakers.

Great Performance for the Price
I picked up a pair of TSi300's and they perform much better than I would expect from speakers at this price level. The TSi series is positioned between the Monitor series and the RTi series and rightfully so. They are an evolutionary improvement to the Monitor 50 (improved matierals, better bass response, better imaging, more detailed highs), though they lack the pristine clarity of the RTi series. They are, however, definitely a world ahead of the cheap R50's that they replaced in my living room, and will easily outperform budget speakers and even some higher end speakers.

What really strikes me about the TSi300's is the sophistication and dynamics of the sound they provide, especially relative to the price point they're at. Considering the compact size of the speakers, they provide suprisingly good sound imaging, projecting a wider sound-field than you'd initially expect, without getting needlessly loud or overbearing. Amazing speakers, terrific sound dynamics.
These speakers are great with almost any kind of music. Crisp, filled with great dynamics in sound, and potent at any volume level, these speakers are truly amazing for the price. I purchased two of these towers and power them through a Sony 2.0 channel stereo receiver. They stand right in front of me at my computer desk.

Sound is clear through all thresholds. Nice bass, good (though slightly muddled) mids, and very good highs. The speakers carry the music very well from a variety of styles (from rock to pop to classical). They are very good with the lows. Vocals are clear and distinct against the background of instruments.

For the aborning audiophile I highly recommend these speakers. Comparatively they are inexpensive and they reproduce significantly higher grade music and sound than do a standard set of lower level Sonys, such as the SS-B3000 set. Sound, with good cables, is better reproduced, more certain and pronounced, and of far greater quality...
What a perfect speaker system for surround or stereo!
I had my Polk surround speakers all hooked up. The very small speakers in the front were the only thing that was bothering me because of the "hole" in the sound because of the mini size. Not bad for most but when you come from an audiophile Allison and Sony ES system, things have to be right.
Well, the answer came the other day with a set of Polk Vertical floor standing TSI300's!

The sound is transparent and very flat and clean. There is plenty of bass from these smaller towers and it's nice that they are light and will fit in my smaller family room/surround room. These babies can take some volume and best of all, they did the trick. No more hole in the audio either with surround or stereo CD's. They are a bargain at any price and while Polk is not considered to be "audiophile" speakers, this set touches that goal!

Bottom line-Handsome, clean and accurate sound, small so they fit anywhere, and handsome! Don't spend more, these will do the job unless you need...

Great Sound, No Fuss.
I'll start with my current set up and what my expectations were. I have a 47" Philips LCD TV, all the major gaming systems, and I also use my LCD TV as a computer monitor. I was looking for a speaker system with a subwoofer for around $400. I didn't want to buy a receiver if I didn't have to for my set up. I had researched and heard several soundbar systems before deciding on this one. All of my gaming systems and my laptop connect directly into the TV through HDMI cables. The speakers are connected to the TV through the "TV Out" connection. Overall, I am very, very happy with it.

The soundbar itself is smaller than expected. The mid and high rannge sounds are great. One concern that I had with soundbar systems was the ability to hear dialogue. Many soundbar systems I listened to had muffled dialogue that was difficult to hear at times. This soundbar does not suffer from any of those qualities. Dialogue is easy to hear from all sources.

Very Nice
I purchased one of these because my husband is an old rocker and his hearing isn't as good as it used to be. He'd given up watching TV on our 46" Samsung LCD because of muddy sound. I don't know whether we blew a speaker (which we've done on every other stereo and car we've owned) or whether it was just the tiny, tinny speakers in the TV. (Time out for pet peeve: We paid a LOT of money for this TV 2 years ago; you'd think they could put decent speakers in it. OK, back in) He was always asking me what people had said. I wasn't sure one of these would 'fix' it, but it did. We pulled it out of the box and plugged one cable into the wall for power and one into the TV for audio (actually 2 together, you know how they do left and right, red and yellow). We turned the TV speakers off and started enjoying TV immediately. Then my son insisted that we had to use the subwoofer. I thought extra noise was part of our problem and didn't want to add anything more. We plugged it into power and placed...
Nice little system but..
It gives a good bang for the buck but there were a couple of issues that I had with it. Firstly, it is very easy to setup and install which is a plus. The wireless sub fits conveniently anywhere in a room and provides a nice bass. Where is the remote? Where are the directions? These things were not in the box. I am guessing the remote wasn't supposed to be there. It took me a few days to figure out that when you turn the tv off and on the sound bar will automatically sense input from the TV and then turn itself on without having to manually press the power button which is nice. But I would have liked to have read that in a manually and not figure it out for myself. Overall I love the simplicity that this system provides and combined with good performance I would recommend it to someone who doesn't want to hassle with a big surround system but wants something a little extra in the sound department.

Best Budget Receiver!
If you own a Blu-ray player and it decodes uncompressed audio like Dolby TruHD and DTS-HD MA. Then now is is time to buy this inexpensive yet very capable receiver. It was huge improvement from my nine year old Sony 5.1 receiver, which still works well.

I wanted to complement my PS3 and 1080p 65" Mitsubishi with clean uncompressed audio. This receiver met this expectation for me and beyond with the incredible sound it can process. After setting it up, I popped in The Simpsons Movie on Blu-ray which has DTS-HD MA. I could not believe my Sony speakers could sound any better until it started playing. I then tried Spiderman 3 with Dolby TrueHD 5.1 and it sounded amazing when Sandman fought Spiderman during the armored car scene. PS3 and HDTV Perfect Match
I bought this receiver to compliment the following setup.
Sharp 46" 1080P LCD
60GB PS3
Polk RM6750 Surround Speakers plus two Polk bookshelfs(6.1 Surround).

This receiver is a fantastic value! Has all features needed to enter HDTV and Blu-Ray heaven. Don't bother spending big bucks on high end receivers since the PS3 does all the hard work for you. Just run the whole system via HDMI and your get crystal clear sound. It doesn't have a video menu, but you don't need it. Setup is straighforward. Adjustments can be made to ensure perfect sound regardless of room size or shape.

Not sure a 6.1 or 7.1 setup is worth the effort. Just fills the sound stage a little better. PS3 games really sound good through this setup.

Dolby True HD on Spiderman and Dolby 5.1 Uncompressed on National Treasure sound fantastic.

Downside, remote isn't too smart. In the end, get by with Cable TV universal or pony up the big cash for the Logitech...
Look out for COX Cable
I got the receiver a week or so ago and it is great, especially considering the price. It sounds great and most setup is automatic. It works great with PS3/HDMI. HDMI is required for the PS3 to output more than 2 audio channels from a Blu-Ray Disk (Standard DVDs on the PS3 reproduce Dolby 5.1 just fine.)

HOWEVER, beware of COX cable if you want to use HDMI from the cable box. You will get an error on your TV about it not supporting HDCP, which is a copy protection scheme. Cox (Scientific Atlanta) DVR boxes see any HDMI switching receiver as some sort of pirating device and requires you to use component cables. This is a major inconvenience! The result is that you can't switch from the COX box to the PS3 without changing inputs on your TV.

A call to COX customer "care" revealed that they don't care to remove HDCP from their cable boxes even though I suspect it would be a simple ROM upgrade.

Purchased these through Amazon for my brother, who loves his music. He's been digging them for almost a year now. If there were a fire, these are the first things he would grab to carry to safety. The cherry finish is very nice but it's the sound he raves about. And kudos to Amazon for a very good price and exemplary service.

Clear winner
Went to a local big box store and listened to the Polks along side the Sony 300s and the Bose 201 and 301 sets. The Polks matched the others highs and lows, but the thing that sold me was the warmth from the mids. A much fuller pleasing sound overall. They just sounded better. Half the price of the Bose 301s. Amazon had the best price as usual so I pulled the trigger. Excellent choice - can't go wrong. The cherry cabs look awesome and they mesh well with my Marantz 2225.
Can't touch them at this price
Bought these a couple of weeks ago for a vacation home. I had listened to them in a store compared against bookshelf models costing much more and liked the sound balance--for space reasons I really didn't want to have to use them with a subwoofer, so I knew it would be a challenge finding a small speaker with enough bass. These were clearly the best in that regard, but I was still a little concerned about how they'd work in place: an open, 20' x 22' room with a 15' peaked ceiling. No worries--clean, crisp vocals and highs with smooth, punchy bass, more than adequately filling the room (I put them on 24" stands, which really opens up the sound). They probably wouldn't be the best for dorm stereo wars, but for accurate reproduction of adult music they rival alternatives at more than twice the price (in fact, I thought the price was per speaker at first and thought it was a good deal--truly amazed to realize that it was the pair price).

An great receiver for the price, with a beautiful look and horrible support
This really is one of the best buys you can make for a mid-range receiver these days.
It does not compare to some of the more expensive and powerful receivers out there but for what you pay here you are getting amazing value.

This is one of the most important feature for a lot of people so I'll start here:
The receiver has 4Xhdmi inputs which is very impressive for a $400 receiver, it also boasts 6 RCA inputs, 2 optical inputs, one coaxial input, an rgb component input and 1 hdmi out.
all in all, a very good selection. It also has an optional input for an IIIP docking station for an iphone but that is not included and costs a whopping $130 ([...]).
This is quite a disappointment for me but I was able to connect my *ANDROID* phone using a simple 3.5mm headphone jack to rca converter (costs $1.22 at [...]).

great product
i have tried several surround sound receivers and ended up with a harman kardon avr247 and it sounded great. was way better than the denon and yamaha that i tried. the sound was amazing. it was time for an upgrade and of course i had to have a harman. went with the avr1650 and couldnt be happier. im using all polk speakers and the polk 10" powered sub and its just like being in a movie theatre. my room is 15x25 and it is awesome
Usual Harman Quality at a nice price
This baby rocks. Hooked it to 2 pairs of Sony SS-F6000 in front and surround positions and a Sony SS-CN5000 in the center and now I'm looking forward to get evicted from my apartment complex ;) Sweet natural Harman response and super clean looks. The only missing feature is a tape2 monitor section for external EQ but I guess that's asking for a 2 decades return in time. But as long as you have analog inputs you can always overdose yourself with those nice altered frequency responses anyway, just not for the tuner, but I dont listen to the crap they air on the radio so I'm good so far. This one doesn't run hot as previous models I had (I even used to have a couple of 4" fans on top of my AVRII back in the day) so that's good news since I live in Florida and I don't need another heater in the living room, the one up in the sky is more than enough!! Do yourself a favour though and get a set of loudspeakers, not one of the little H/T sets they sell. Sure, loudspeakers are big but sound...

The straight scoop..
I am an audiophile, I was looking for a desent sounding pair of outdoor speakers for my pool area. I was mostly concerned with build quality because I live in Florida and the elements can be very harsh here, especially for any type of speaker.
Well, Polk delivered what I needed, the specs are great, and you can really tell when you hold this speaker that it should hold up to the elements no problem at all. The bracket system is very well done, very user friendly and very adaptable to locations of all kinds. The only thing they don't provide is the screws for mounting, but simple enough. To my surprise, they sounded like a very good mid fi home two channel speaker set, honestly I was not expecting to sound as good as they do right out of the box. Break in time is long, but any thing of any quality (speaker wise) always is. Bass response is tight, but not over exaggerated. Bass is good, but more of a mid range shiner, vocals sound very realistic, highs are nice and clean even...

Great Product
Installed these over my back porch 40' by 40'. They cover the area easily with rich deep sound. For the cost, I don't think there is a better value out there.
My patio never sounded better
Let me start with the short version: These are the speakers you want for your patio or deck.

Their construction is solid and robust. The speaker is completely sealed. The actual cones are sealed and water proof. I haven't sprayed them with my hose (yet), but I can see how the ocasional light spray with water wouldn't affect them. That said, the connectors in the back are exposed so I assume they're vulnerable to corrosion, specially in salt environments. For that kind of setup, as in your beach house, you'll want to cover the connectors with a dab of marine grease to keep the salt out and prolong their life.

The mounting brackets are very well thought. You can detach the base to mount it to either the ceiling or a wall. In my case, I used anchors going through a pre-drilled hole in the plasterboard. All in all, a 5 minute per speaker deal. After the bracket is properly fastened to the wall, an oversized thumbscrew is all it takes to mount the speaker and adjust...

Excellent quality and value. Polk makes a great speaker.
I am using these as my main front speakers, with a new Pioneer 1019 receiver. The sound and build quality are excellent -- especially for the money. The only reason I give them a 4 on sound is because you will definitely need a sub to fill in the bass. Maybe they were designed with that thought already in mind, and I do have a sub, but it's just my 2 cents. If you have a sub, or plan to buy one, these speakers are a great choice. BTW, the 400's are worth the extra $200 if you can afford it -- they have a fuller sound. I initially bought the 300's and took them home, but swapped them for the 400's.

TSI400
I just bought these TSI400's and a cs10 center channel speaker. I hooked everything up to the new Onkyo 607 receiver. The 400's sound absolutely amazing. I bi-amped them to maximize the power, so they have 180 watts RMS. They reach loud volumes with still sounding amazing. The bass is tight and punchy. If you are into bass, you will need to get a PWS. Don't get me wrong, the bass on these speakers is great, but you really need to get the sub to complete the sound. The clarity of the sound that comes from these speakers is why I rated them so high. Would definately recommend for your floor standing speakers.

These are great speakers that won't break the bank to own.

One last thing... I have heard that if you get the TSI500's you may not even need a PSW. For only $200 more for the pair it might be something to consider.
Great looking and even better sounding.
I listened to these side by side versus a set of Klipsch in a local big box store. The Klipsch were actually more in price but I thought the horn tweeters sounded too harsh. The polk sounded crystal clear and were easy to listen to. They had the TSI300's and TSI400's side by side. The 400's sounded "fuller" with the extra speaker. The great part was that the 400's were on sale and were actually cheaper then the 300's. There was no way I was going to miss out on this deal. I also have the CS10 for the center speaker. Sill deciding on either the 100's or 200's for the surrounds. Overall very happy.
