Great for the price
Def a generic brand, but installed easily and sound good. The wire and clips are weak, so plan to use your own when installing.

Ceiling Install
installed these speakers in my drop ceiling and they sound great when driven by my 100w/ch pioneer receiver. took digital out from my tv back to receiver to sync up the audio with the video, TV was behind the sound. they sound great and the front speakers have adjustable tweeters, surround speakers do not. The powered sub, i still have to find a home for. limited now based on length of RCA cord. cardboard cut out forms were provided which made the installation easier. this is my first surround sound install so i didn't want to get too carried away. think the price is right for what i got, looks good (hidden) and sounds better than just the TV blaring at you.

Awesome for the price.
This is my first center channel speaker. I am not an audio-file, but it sound's great in my budget 5.1 system. The price could not be beat. It only took three days to get to me as well.
Plays nice...
Full disclosure... I am not an "audiophile" and my main requirements for my surround sound system is that I can watch television and movies without much hassle and where I can actually hear what is going on in the dialog and effects.

I looked for a low-cost alternative to the packaged cigarrette-box-sized center channel speaker that came with my system. I wanted something that matched my Boston Acoustics left and right chanel speakers and that gave me audible dialog and sound effects for television and movie watching. I got all those things.

I can now hear the dialog without turning up the sound to levels that hurt the ears. The speaker box, in all its black plainness is just what I was looking for appearance wise. It fits my system and plays nicely.

My one criticism is the connector for the speaker wires. It is horrible! I understand that on lower cost audio components that one is not going to get "gold plated" high level...

Amazing speakers for the price
I just recently finished my basement and in the middle of the project, I decided to go with in-wall speakers. Why not right? I had the opportunity to run the speaker wire and had access to the frame work, so it was a no brainer. Plus, these speakers are a great price compared to some of the other non-wall units. The only complication was the passive subwoofer and figuring out a way to prevent the sub from shaking the wall.

I had to buy a separate subwoofer amp (Bash 300S also sold on Amazon - great amp!), no biggie. Problem #1 solved.

Problem #2 was a little tricky but luckily with the help of my contractor, he suggested building an enclosure to be installed inside the wall as well. He looked at other 300W active subwoofers and took an average on there internal volume, bought some MDF and built the enclosure using an internal volume of 1.56 cu-ft. Remember that number if you want to do the same. The enclosure is ported with the opening at the bottom of...

GREAT DEAL
This product is an absolute bargain! Took some time for the installation, but all good things are worth waiting for. System ha an absolute great sound (movies and/or audio only). I strongly recommend this to anyone that is looking to upgrade their current A/V system in their home. Speakers fit nicely in the wall and the pre-sized patterns for marking hole sizes was a brilliant idea of the mfg. Two thumbs up.

passive subs
these speakers work just fine. However all of my receivers have inputs for powered subs. I'm not quite sure how to hook up these passive subs? Now I have two huge wall subs that are not putting out like they should. I guess I will have to buy an additional powered sub, leaving me with 2 worthless 10 inch subs cut into the wall. Any thoughts? I wired them into the speaker B ports on my sony receiver but they just sound like 2 weak, low rent speakers not subs.
Question
Do the speakers have face plates and if so what color are they? Or do you just see the multi-colored speakers? The product sounds great but I would not want them not to blend with the wall color.

Get some bump without the "cube"
Sound great, rattle the wall, but I will not be listening at full impact. These will rattle your walls big time! I'd advise building a box or adding structural support around these if you have the room behind your install space. THESE WILL HANDLE some POWER! Readup on how subs work (open air, ported, sealed) 2xSpeakers using with a dayton audio plate amp from parts express. Mounted in my wall NOT the Ceiling. You may want to get some BLACK audio fabric to put behind the screens. Since this has a white surround and yellow/black speaker it shows through the white screen even with the white foam insert provided. These definitely add the subtle bass track of shows, movies, and film. Much better than trying to hide a sub "cube" somewhere in your theatre room. BUT! if you are an audiophile these will not be the ones for you.
